The artist

Born near Tel Aviv, Udi studied film at Tel Aviv University after leaving mechanical engineering at the Technion. In 1994 he became one of the first video editors in Tel Aviv to cut on Adobe Premiere, editing music videos for the country’s top rock artists and winning a Best Photography award in 1995.
In 1996 he became the third Flame artist in Israel, at Gravity Post Production, and spent two years compositing hundreds of commercials. In 1998 he moved to New York, freelancing at Spontaneous Combustion before becoming a lead Inferno artist at TZ-NY, where his network packages earned six Gold Promax awards.
After 9/11 the family returned to Tel Aviv by way of Los Angeles, where he composited music videos for Janet Jackson and Missy Elliott, then led the visual effects division at JCS Post Production. In 2003 he settled in Boston with Viewpoint Creative, and finished his compositing career with Gravity/RhinoFX in New York. In 2008 he turned to photography and art.
